Alert360 is developed and maintained by BFP Region 7 – Information Technology and Communications Unit (ITCU). This Privacy Policy explains how Alert360 handles information when you use the application. By using Alert360, you agree to the terms described in this Privacy Policy.
Scope of the Application
Alert360 is an emergency mapping and situational awareness system designed to:
- Display fire hydrant locations;
- Show reported emergency incidents (fire, rescue, flood, earthquake, landslide, and others);
- Provide historical incident records for situational analysis;
- Support emergency response coordination and public safety awareness.
Information We Collect
3.1 Personal Information
Alert360 does not require user registration and does not collect, store, or process personally identifiable information such as: Name, Email address, Phone number, Password, Government ID or personal documents. We do not intentionally collect any personal user data.
3.2 Location Information
Alert360 does not collect, track, or store real-time user location data. However, the App displays location data for: Fire hydrants, Emergency incident reports, Operational mapping data provided by authorized personnel. These coordinates are used strictly for public safety, emergency response, and operational coordination.
3.3 Device and Usage Data
Alert360 does not intentionally collect analytics, identifiers, or behavioral tracking data. However, third-party services integrated into the App (such as map providers or hosting services) may automatically collect limited technical data, such as:
- Device type and model
- Browser or WebView information
- IP address (for network communication)
- Crash logs or performance diagnostics (if enabled by service providers)
How We Use Information
All data displayed in Alert360 is used exclusively for:
- Emergency response coordination
- Fire hydrant monitoring and management
- Incident reporting and tracking
- Public safety awareness
- Operational planning and decision-making
- Historical incident reference and analysis
Data Storage and Security
Alert360 does not store personal user data on the device. All operational mapping data is retrieved from secure servers managed by authorized personnel under BFP Region 7 - ITCU. We implement appropriate administrative, technical, and organizational security measures to protect system data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmission over the internet.
Third-Party Services
Alert360 may use third-party services to provide core functionality, including:
- Map services (e.g., Leaflets, OpenStreetMap) for displaying geographic data
- WebView / browser components for rendering map interfaces
- Hosting and backend services for data delivery and system functionality
- Optional push notification services (if enabled in future versions)
These third-party services may collect and process data according to their own privacy policies. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies for more information.
Data Sharing
Alert360 does not sell, rent, or trade user data. Data is only shared when:
- Required for system functionality (e.g., map rendering services)
- Required by law or government authority
- Necessary for public safety and emergency coordination under authorized operations
Children's Privacy
Alert360 is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If such data is discovered, it will be deleted immediately.
Data Retention
Since Alert360 does not collect personal user data, there is no personal data retention policy required. Operational incident and mapping data are retained based on administrative and emergency response requirements.
